Scalp micropigmentation could be done with long hair, and you can see the efficiency of the SMP right after each session. In this way, you do not need to shave your head and wait for a month to see the result. This method has its advantages as follows:
- The men do not like to shave their hair even for a short time.
- The women, a shaved hair look is not popular among them.

Another question people ask is about their hair length and want to see if it affects the result. So, there is no best hair length and you can keep it as long as you like. When your hair is not shaved, no matter whether the length is 1 inch or 1 foot.
Does scalp micropigmentation hurt your hair?
No. Not only scalp micropigmentation does not hurt the hair follicles but also helps some of them to grow. This is not the main purpose of scalp micropigmentation and we normally do not talk about it, but some of the hair follicles have a potential to regrowth and they can be stimulated by the microneedling procedure.
